Right conduct in worship

4.16.1 Verily, he who purifies himself and moves in obedience purifies this whole world by his example. His two paths are mind and speech.

4.16.2 One forms a path with his mind, another with his speech. Where the heart is distracted or interrupts the prayer, only one path is formed and the other is discontinued.

4.16.3 As a one-legged man walking, or a chariot proceeding with one wheel, suffers injury, so his worship suffers injury, and the worshipper suffers after the worship which suffers injury.

4.16.4 But where the mind and the speech are both devoted, they form both paths; the other does not become discontinued.

4.16.5 As a two-legged man walking, or a chariot proceeding with both wheels, is well supported, so his worship is well supported. The worshipper is well supported after the worship which is well supported. He becomes better off by having worshipped.
