Plain text of Fourth Prapathaka · Fifteenth Khanda
4.15.1 "He who is the One that sees through the eye, He is the Lord," said he. "He is the Immortal, the Fearless. So even if they pour clarified butter or water on that, it goes away to the edges."
4.15.2 They call this "Loveliness-uniter," for all lovely things come together unto it. All lovely things come together unto him who knows this.
4.15.3 And this is also "Goods-bringer," for it brings all goods. He brings all goods who knows this.
4.15.4 And this one is also "Light-bringer," for it shines in all worlds. He shines in all worlds who knows this.
4.15.5 Now, whether they perform the funeral rites in the case of such a person or not, he passes on, by God's command, from the flame into the day; from the day, into the half-month of the waxing moon; from the half-month of the waxing moon, into the six months during which the sun moves northwards; from the months, into the year; from the year, into the sun; from the sun, into the moon; from the moon, into the lightning. There an angel, not of human kind, receives him.
4.15.6 He leads them on to God. This is the way to the Garden, the way to God. They who proceed by it return not to this earthly life, yea, they return not!"
