The One whom we worship

3.5.1 Question: Who is He whom we worship?

Answer: We worship God alone.

Question: Which one is God?

Answer: He by whom one sees, by whom one hears, by whom one smells odors, by whom one articulates speech, by whom one discriminates the sweet and the unsweet; [2] He who gave the heart and the mind: consciousness, perception, discrimination, intelligence, wisdom, insight, steadfastness, thought, thoughtfulness, impulse, memory, conception, purpose, life, desire, and will.

All these, indeed, are gifts of His wisdom.

3.5.3 He is God, the Creator, who created the angels, and these five elements: earth, wind, space, water, light; these things and those which are mingled of the fine; origins of one sort and another: those born from an egg, and those born from a womb, and those born from sweat, and those born from a sprout; horses, cows, persons, elephants; whatever breathing thing there is here, whether moving or flying, and what is stationary.

All this is guided by His wisdom, is based on His command. The world is guided by His wisdom. The basis is His wisdom. God is the All-Wise.

3.5.4 So he who knows this, having ascended aloft from this world by God's mercy, obtains all righteous desires in yon heavenly Garden, and has eternal life, yea, eternal life!
