The true way to the world of God, through a pure life of religious study

8.5.1 Now, what people call worship is really the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge, for only through the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge does he who is a knower find that world.

Now, what people call a good work done is really the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge, for only after having searched with the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge does one find his Lord.

8.5.2 Now, what people call the long devotion is really the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge, for only through the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge does one find the protection of the true God.

Now, what people call silent devotion is really the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge, for only in finding his Lord through the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge does one truly reflect.

8.5.3 Now, what people call a course of fasting is really the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge, for the soul which one saves through the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge perishes not.

Now, what people call betaking oneself to a life of retreat in the forest is really the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge. Verily, in the Garden there are two seas, and there is a lake of refreshment and joy; there, a tree of blessing; there, the unconquered abode of God's favor, the golden hall of the Lord's honored ones.

8.5.4 But only they who find those two seas in the Garden through the pure life of a student of sacred knowledge, only they possess that Garden. In all the worlds they possess freedom.
