1 Sing forth, O men, as the sap is purified,

Fain to pay worship to God.

2 Together with thy pleasant juice the Atharvans have commingled milk,

Devoted to God.

3 Bring, O Lord, by Thy flowing, weal to kine, weal to the people, weal to steeds.

Weal, O King, to growing plants.

4 Sing a praise-song to God, of independent might,

Who reaches up to heaven; His gift is this brown-hued, red sap.

5 Purify the Soma when effused with stones which hands move rapidly,

And pour the sweet milk in the meath.

6 With humble homage draw ye nigh; blend the libation with the curds:

In the name of the Mighty One offer it up.

7 O Lord, queller of foes, chief o'er men, doing Thy will,

Pour forth prosperity upon our kine.

8 Knower of hearts, Sovereign of the heart, this gift is poured in Thy name.

9 O Purifier, give us riches and heroic strength,-

With the Mighty One for ally.
