Plain text of Book The Seventh · Book 7, Hymn 11. God the Radiant
1 Great art Thou, O God, Herald of worship: not without Thee are the righteous made joyful.
Come hither with all the angels about Thee, here take Thy seat, the first, as Priest, O God.
2 Men with devotion evermore entreat Thee, the swift, to undertake an envoy's duty. He on whose sacred grass Thou sittest with the righteous, to him, O God, are the days propitious.
3 Three times a day in Thee are shown the treasures sent for the mortal who presents his gift.
Bring the righteous hither like a man, O God: be Thou our envoy, guarding us from curses.
4 Lord of the lofty worship is God, God is Lord of every gift presented.
The Vasus were contented with His wisdom, so the righteous made Him their bearer of offerings.
5 O God, bring the righteous to taste our presents: with the Mighty One leading, here let them be joyful.
Convey this devotion to those in heaven. Preserve us evermore with blessings.
