Plain text of The River Kshash
51.
Among those who lie at the doors he called out loudly with one voice; with one voice he called out from the two banks of the river Kshash, the river whose water is dragons and whose waves are scorpions. In it are firebrands; on both its banks lie nothing but chains; at its mouth the vessel ... is set up. They seize and hold back there. Those who commit fornication and theft do not cross the river Kshash. Sorcerers and sorceresses do not cross the river Kshash. Diviners and those who wink do not cross the river Kshash. People who move boundaries do not cross the river Kshash. People who shift boundary stones do not cross the river Kshash. But I, because I am armed, because I am a servant of the Living God, pressed deep into the river, the river Kshash. The dragons did not strike me, all the scorpions did not sting me. The fire did not consume me, all the chains did not destroy me. They did not cast me into the vessel ..., because I am of the truth and the fragrance of life rests upon me.
Praised be God, the Ever-Living; God is victorious.
