Plain text of 30
Yahya preaches in the nights, Yohana in the evenings of the night. Yahya preaches in the nights. A radiance rose over the worlds. Who told Jesus? Who told Jesus the Messiah, the son of Mary, who told Jesus that he should go to the bank of the Jordan and say to him: "Yahya! Baptize me with your baptism, and the name that you are accustomed to pronounce, pronounce it also over me. If I show myself your disciple, I will mention you in my writing; if I do not prove myself a disciple, wipe my name out of your page."
Then Yahya answered Jesus in Jerusalem: "A stammerer does not become a scholar, and a blind man writes no letter. A ruined house does not rise up, and a widow does not become a virgin. Stinking water does not become tasty, and a stone is not softened by oil."
Jesus answered Yahya in Jerusalem: "A stammerer becomes a scholar, and a blind man writes a letter. A ruined house rises up, and a widow becomes a virgin. Stinking water becomes tasty, and a stone is softened by oil."
Then Yahya said to Jesus in Jerusalem: "If you give me an explanation of this, you are a wise Messiah." Jesus answered Yahya in Jerusalem: "A stammerer becomes a scholar: a child that comes from the mother who bore it blossoms and grows up. Through reward and alms it comes up, it comes up through reward and alms, and ascends and beholds the place of light.
A blind man who writes a letter: a wicked man who has become virtuous. He left fornication and left theft and came to faith in the Mighty God.
A ruined house that rises up again: a noble man who has become humble. He left the castles and left his violent temper and built a house by the sea. He built a house by the sea and opened two doors in it, so that he might bring to himself one who lay in misery, open the door to him and take him in. When he wished to eat, he set a table of truth for him. When he wished to drink, he mixed for him jugs of truth. When he wished to lie down, he spread a bed of truth for him. When he wished to go, he led him on paths of truth. He led him on paths of truth and of faith, and then he ascends and beholds the place of light.
A widow who becomes a virgin: a woman who was widowed already in her youth. She kept her chastity and sat there until her children were grown. When she passes over, her face does not fade before her husband.
Stinking water that becomes tasty: a harlot's daughter who has become noble. She goes up from one town and down to another without casting the veil from her face.
A stone softened by oil: a heretic who came down from the mountain. He left sorcery and left magic and professed the Mighty God. He found an orphan and fed him and filled the widow's pockets.
So baptize me, Yahya, with your baptism, and the name that you are accustomed to pronounce, pronounce it over me. If I show myself your disciple, I will mention you in my writing; if I do not prove myself your disciple, wipe my name out of your page. Each of us will be called to account for his own deeds."
When Jesus said this, a letter came from the house of the angel Abathur: "Yahya, baptize him in the Jordan. Lead him down into the Jordan and baptize him, and lead him up again to the bank and set him there."
Let yourselves be warned by me, my brothers, let yourselves be warned by me, my beloved! Let yourselves be warned by me, my brothers, against the idols. They set them against the walls, then they stand and bow before the block. Let yourselves be warned by me, my brothers, against the god whom the carpenter has joined together. If the carpenter joined the god together, who then joined the carpenter together?
Praised be God, and God is victorious.
