Yahya preaches in the nights, Yohana in the evenings of the night. Yahya preaches in the nights: "A voice called into the world and said: O you who stand in wickedness, come, buy a road for yourselves. O you who devour interest and compound interest, come, buy a road for yourselves. O you who lie there with fragrant garlands, arise, buy a road for yourselves. O you who clothe yourselves in roses and silk, arise, buy a road for yourselves. O you who lie there with beautified faces, arise, buy a road for yourselves. For the people of tested piety are vanishing, and the voice of God is no longer called in the world. The prayers for the dead are vanishing, and a pure turban is no longer put on. The living baptism is vanishing, and the wondrous sign ceases."

When Yahya said this, Jaqif and Beni-Amin and Miryai spoke thus to Yahya in Jerusalem: "We adjure you, O Yahya, by the Living God whom you worship, and again we adjure you, Yahya, tell us: Shall the people of tested piety really vanish, and the voice of God no longer be called in the world? Shall the prayers for the dead really vanish, and the pure turban no longer be put on? Shall the living baptism really vanish, and the wondrous sign cease?" When Jaqif and Beni-Amin and Miryai spoke thus, Yahya answered them in Jerusalem: "When all the priests have been slain and are no more, and the Israelites have been slain, there will arise in the world people who bring a wisdom of wickedness into the world. They forbid fornication and yet commit fornication, they forbid stealing and yet steal, they forbid interest and compound interest, and yet they give one and take nine for it. They make their scales deceitful and make their weights great. The cursed and shameful ones do not know and do not understand that our Lord, the King of light, is on high, He, the One."

And God is victorious.
