Yahya preaches in the nights, Yohana in the evenings of the night. Yahya preaches in the nights and says: "By the word of my Lord I shine, and by the praise of the One, my Creator. I have freed my soul from the world and from the works that are ugly and not right. The Seven question me, the dead, who have not beheld life, and say: 'By whose power do you stand there, and with whose praise do you preach?' Then I answer them: 'I stand by the power of my Lord and with the praise of the One, my Creator. I have built no house in Judea, set up no throne in Jerusalem. I have not loved the garland of roses, nor the company of lovely women. I have not loved what is lacking, nor the vessel of the wine-drinkers. I have not loved bodily food, and envy found no place in me. I have not forgotten my prayer of the night, nor forgotten the wondrous Jordan. I have not forgotten my baptism, nor my pure sign. I have not forgotten Sunday, and the eve of the day has not condemned me. I have not forgotten Silmai and Nidbai, who have a dwelling in the house of the Mighty One. They pronounce me pure and let me ascend; they know that there is no fault and no lack in me.'"

When Yahya said this, God was greatly pleased with him. The Seven offered him their greeting, and the Twelve honoured him. He said to him: "Of all these words that you have spoken, Yahya, you have not said a single one untruly. Pleasant and fair is your voice, and there is none who equals you. Fair is the speech in your mouth, and precious the language that has been granted you. The garment that God gave to Adam, the man, the garment that God gave to Ram, the man, the garment that God gave to Surbai, the man, the garment that God gave to Sum bar Nu, He has now given to you. He has given it to you, Yahya, that you may ascend and ascend with those who are with you. The deficient house will be left behind in the wilderness. Everyone who is found without sin will ascend to you, to the place of light; whoever is not found without sin will be called to account in the watch-houses."

And God is victorious.
