Yoked to Sensual Pleasures

iti96:1 This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.

iti96:2 One unyoked from sensual pleasures is a perfected one, who has ended defilements.” The Buddha spoke this matter. On this it is said:

iti96:3 “Yoked to both sensual pleasures and the desire for continued existence; sentient beings continue to wander, finding no rest.

iti96:4 Those who’ve given up sensual pleasures

iti96:5 Those who have cut off doubt, and ended conceit and craving, they’re the ones in this world <j>who’ve truly crossed over, having reached the ending of defilements.”

iti96:6 This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
