Homage to Thee, O God the Hidden (Amen), Lord of Thebes, Thou beauty and ornament of creation!

All men lift up their faces to gaze toward Him.

Thou art the Lord, inspiring awe, crushing those who would revolt against Thee.

Thou art the King over all that is.

Thou art the great God, the Living One.

Thou art beloved for Thy words, which are the satisfaction of the angels.

Thou art the King of heaven; Thou didst make the stars.

Thou art the Maker of heaven; Thou didst open the horizon, and the angels came into being according to Thy command.

O God, Lord of the Throne of the Two Lands, Lord of rays, Maker of multitudes, Thou art the King, who makest the heart rejoice.

Thou art praised by all rational beings, because they have life.

Watch, being at peace! Thou watchest in peace.

Watch, O God, Lord of the Throne of the Two Lands, in peace.

Watch, Great One of Thebes, in peace.

Watch, Creator of the Two Lands, in peace.

Watch, Thou who art self-sufficient, in peace.

Watch, Creator of heaven and of the hidden things of the two horizons, in peace.

Watch, O Thou before whom the angels bow down, Lord who art feared.

Mighty One, whom the hearts of all rational beings hold in awe, in peace.

III.

In the primeval time, when nothing had yet come into being, and the name of nothing whatsoever had been recorded, Thou didst command, and light appeared to every man.

Thou openest Thy mouth, and Thy word is therein.

Thou hast established heaven by Thy power.

Thou hast created the angels, Thou hast created men, Thou hast created everything.

Lord of life, Thou Living One, who possessest power greater than all.

Thou art the Lord of everything, who wert from primeval time.

Thou Creator, Thou hast created all that is.
