Plain text of Sixteenth Book, Eleventh Piece

The call of Manda d-Haije is this,

which stands at the outer edge of the worlds.

At the outer edge of the worlds he stands

and calls to his chosen.

He calls to his chosen

and takes witnesses against them.

He says:

"Living God, be my witness

against those called, whom I called out of the earth.

I called them, commanded them and wished to bring them out,

but they do not do [what I commanded them].

They forsake the works of the Living God

and practise the works of the earth.

They forsake the will of the Living God

and practise the will of the bodies.

They forsake the payment of wages and the giving of alms

and stumble over the stumbling-blocks of the wicked.

I called them and commanded them:

Do what your Lord has commanded you.

Perform the prayer and prepare the Pihta

and worship and praise the mighty Living God.

Worship and praise the mighty Living God,

that you may ascend on the path of faithfulness

and behold the place that is unbounded."

And praised be the Living God.
