Plain text of Sixteenth Book · Fourth Piece
Proclamation of the messenger of light to the believers.
From the place of light I came forth,
from you, bright dwelling.
I come to feel the hearts,
to measure and test all minds,
to see in whose heart I dwell,
in whose mind I rest.
Whoever thinks of me, of him I think;
whoever speaks my name, his name I speak.
Whoever prays my prayer from the earth,
his prayer I pray from the place of light.
Whoever prays my prayer and my praise,
for him I pray (a prayer) rich and great.
I came and found
the truthful and believing hearts.
When I was not dwelling among them,
yet my name lay upon their mouth.
I took them and led them up to the angels
whom Jokabar created.
I said to them:
"Perfect ones! Pleasant is your fragrance,
and splendour rests among you."
Praised be You, my Lord,
who do not condemn the perfect.
And the Living God is victorious.
