In the name of the Great Living God

be glorified the exalted Light.

When I, the angel Anos, came

into this world,

I came, called the call of the Living God

and set up the planting of the Living God.

I spoke and recited with my voice

and awakened the chosen in the world.

I called with an exalted voice,

I shook the sleepers and made them rise.

I trained disciples among them,

some of whom are worthy of the place of light.

Who told Ruha,

who informed the one of lack and defect,

who told the liar

that the strange man had gone here?

Who told Ruha,

that she struck her head with her hands?

With her hands she struck her head

and tore out the locks on her head.

She tore out the locks on her head

and cried "Woe to me, woe to me!"

Ruha spoke in anger,

and in falsehood her word came out.

Ruha spoke in anger

and called together her firstborn sons.

She said to them:

"Come, come, my firstborn sons,

hear what I tell you.

Come, plan evil,

and let us found a party in the world.

A party in the world let us found

against the stock of the strange man who has gone here."

Then the seven stars gathered

and went to Ruha, the Satan.

They said to her:

"With what shall we found a party

within this world?"

Then she answered them:

"Come, let us lie together

and take the secret of us all.

The secret of us all we will take

and form a creation with it.

We will form a creation with it

and build the place Jerusalem."

Then the seven stars set to it

and lay with their mother.

They lay with their mother

and took of their common secret.

Of their common secret they took

and built the place Jerusalem.

The place Jerusalem they built

and left fornication, corruption and harlotry in it.

They said:

"Everyone who has his seat in the place Jerusalem

will not mention the name of God."

Then the seven stars arose

and Namrus, the mother of the world.

The seven stars arose

and came on their seven chariots.

They came on their seven chariots

and descended from the firmament to the earth.

They left this world

and arrived at Bethlehem.

Ruha then said to her sons,

said to the vain wicked ones:

"My sons! Lower your chariots,

we will build it in this place."

Then a voice came from the cloud of the angel Anos

and said to Ruha, the Satan:

"From the place where this city is built

365 disciples will come forth."

Then she cried with a shrieking voice and screamed,

she said to her seven sons:

"Up, up, my seven sons,

do not build it in this place.

An evil, unclean curse

has come upon your chariots.

Sit in your chariots

and go away from that place."

They went away from that place

and arrived at Bet-Mtallale.

Then Ruha, the Satan, spoke

and said to the planets:

"Up, up, my seven sons,

a letter of wrath has reached us.

Up, sit in your chariots

and go away from that place."

They went away from that place

and arrived at the place Krakh-Nsab.

Then Ruha, the Satan, spoke

and said to the planets:

"My sons! Lower your chariots,

we will build in this place."

Then a voice came from the cloud of the angel Anos

and said to Ruha, the Satan:

"From the place where this city is built

365 disciples will come forth."

Then Ruha spoke in anger

and said to the planets:

"Up, up, my seven sons,

hear what I tell you.

Up, let us go

before the Great Living God comes here."

Then the seven planets arose

and went away from that place.

They arose, sat in their chariots

and continued their journey through the world.

They continued their journey through the world

until the wings of their chariots fell off.

Then Namrus, the mother of the world,

said to them:

"My sons, lower your chariots,

we will build in this place.

In this place we will build,

because the way has come to an end."

Then the planets answered and said

to Namrus, the mother of the world:

"Yes, our strength is checked,

and the wings of our chariots have fallen off.

Yes, we will speak according to your word

and build in this place."

The seven stars gathered

and practised sorcery and witchcraft.

Sorcery and witchcraft they practised

and did not mention the name of God.

They set to work, kneaded the first brick

and built the place Jerusalem.

Then a voice came from the cloud of the angel Anos

and said to Ruha, the Satan:

"From the place where this city is built

365 disciples will come forth."

Then Ruha, the Satan, spoke

and said to the planets:

"Come, come, my seven sons;

blessed is he to whom God is a helper."

They built Jerusalem,

in which the people settled.

They gave them the works of darkness,

and the seven pronounced a blessing over them.

They called forth protecting angels,

fishes of the sea and feathered birds

and bound them with oaths.

They bound them with oaths

and gave them to the people in Jerusalem.

They pronounced a blessing over them,

and they found everything they sought in abundance.

The seven pillars arose,

from which all perversity and falsehood went forth.

The people multiplied

in the desolate wilderness.

The people multiplied,

then the time came to form a following.

I took on bodily form

and betook myself into Jerusalem.

I spoke with my voice and recited

and became a physician of Mirjai.

A physician of Mirjai I became

and healed her from the ground up.

I was called a physician of faithfulness,

who heals without taking a reward.

I led Mirjai down and baptized her in the Jordan,

I marked her with the pure sign.

From Mirjai, the perfect one,

Jaqif and Beni-Amin went forth.

From Jaqif and Beni-Amin

365 disciples went forth.

365 disciples came forth

in the place Jerusalem.

The wrongdoers became angry

and killed my disciples, who pronounced the name of the Living God.

When I saw them,

I became full of wrath and bitter anger against them.

I became full of wrath and bitter anger against them

and ascended to the Great Living God.

I told my Lord

how matters stood in His place.

Further I told Him

how the seven acted in this world.

When He heard this from me,

He gave me a letter in wrath.

A letter in wrath He gave me

against the place Jerusalem.

Who told Ruha,

who informed the faulty and lacking one,

who told the liar

that the white eagle had ascended to the place Jerusalem?

She calls her hosts together

and gathers all her helpers.

She calls the seven stars together,

sits down and raises a lament.

She says:

"Woe to you, place Jerusalem,

that the eagle has ascended to you.

Woe to the wrongdoers,

who are to be slain in fury and wrath."

Ruha, the Satan, then steps forward

and bows before the angel Anos.

She says to him:

"By your life, angel Anos,

do not lay waste this place Jerusalem, which I built."

Then he answered

Namrus, the mother of the world:

"Whoever is an adversary of the light

dies a second death."

The wrongdoers in their fear

hid themselves in the various quarters.

Then Namrus, the mother of the world,

said to him:

"Let me then,

I will burst the gates of the wall over them,

that they may be killed on the spot.

Let the wrongdoers be killed

who sinned against your disciples."

Then I struck her with the mace of splendour

and said to her:

"Get away from me;

I have come in wrath.

[In wrath] I have come,

in wrath the Living God sent me here.

The Living God sent me here in wrath

to lay waste the place Jerusalem.

Pillar after pillar I threw down

and cast them down from their place.

I destroyed the pillar Usrael,

which was a persecution to my disciples.

I destroyed the pillar Jaqif,

which stood at the gate of Jerusalem.

I threw down the pillar Adonai,

which rose in the centre of Jerusalem.

I destroyed the pillar Zatan,

which stood at the outer wall.

I threw down the pillar Sihmai,

which stood at the inner wall.

I threw down the pillar Karkum,

in which all the evil spirits dwelt.

I bound the great tower,

in which the guards of the place Jerusalem dwelt.

I laid waste the place Jerusalem,

in which the blood of my disciples was shed.

I killed the wrongdoers,

who were a persecution to the stock of the Living God,

all the feathered birds

and ugly beasts that came forth from them,

the apes and wolves

that came forth from the wrongdoers,

all the evil beasts

against whom there was wrath.

Wrath was against them,

and they shall come to an end on the great Day of the End.

But to my disciples security was granted,

who endured the persecution in Jerusalem.

I destroyed the house

of those who were without kindness."

And the Living God is victorious.
