Plain text of Fifteenth Book (3)
I came there, by God's leave set up seven worlds of light
and appointed in them seven kings of perfect kind.
I made for them seven chambers of water
and new palaces that do not pass away.
With my radiance, my light and my praise,
which my Lord made for me in perfect form,
with my enlightenment, which the Great One granted me,
with the mighty speeches which I brought with me,
with the hidden, mighty, exalted, firm and guarded sayings
which I brought from the great, first House,
with shining crosses that He made for me,
and prayers that were said and kept with me,
the great Glory called me and gave me commands.
He said:
"When thou goest to the pure Tarwan,
do not direct thy speech to the wicked angels.
Do not recite it to the creation of the Second,
from whom all evil came forth.
Fault and lack arose through him,
and the lie was sown in the world.
Do not impart the enlightenment, the knowledge, the understanding and the praise,
nor the hidden speech which came from beyond.
Do not take the mighty speech
and cast it into the turbid water.
Do not recite it to the wicked angels,
to the angels whom Joshamin made.
Do not recite it to the angels
to whom concealment, calm and silence are not proper.
Give it only to the angels of the pure Tarwan,
who came forth from the creation of God.
Give it to one of a thousand,
give it to two of ten thousand.
Give it to one of a thousand,
that they may instruct one another.
They shall instruct one another
and take from one another oaths of fidelity.
Oaths of fidelity they shall take from one another
and not deny thy speech."
As my Lord commanded me,
I betook myself to the pure Tarwan and let a call sound there.
In the pure Tarwan I let a call sound,
and the pure Tarwan shone and gleamed.
I granted my enlightenment and praise
to the angels who love my name.
I taught the hidden angels
and the kings of light whom I appointed.
I taught the king of the pure Tarwan
about the radiance and the light that lie there.
I taught him about the world of the Lord of Greatness,
whose name is "Ether, the great light".
I taught him about the great Glory.
I taught him about the angels, about the pure vines and trees
that shine over the Jordans.
I taught him about knowledge
and set up for him imperishable enlightenment.
I enlightened his form like mine
and gave him charge over all beings of light
who dwell on the earth of the pure Tarwan.
Then he rose from his throne
and bowed and prostrated himself before me.
He bowed and prostrated himself before me
and blessed me with a great, endless blessing.
He said:
"May there be no lack in thee,
and may thy creations not grow dark.
May thy works not pass away,
for thou art a great one, a son of the mighty.
Thou art the master of the angels,
the leader of all the perfect.
By the power of thy pure name
we shall ascend behind thee on the paths of Truth,
on the paths of the great God,
who called thee forth from the hidden.
From the hidden He called thee forth
and made thee a great chosen one.
He made thee a great chosen one
and set thee as ruler over us,
that in us there be neither lack nor fault."
I then departed from him
and came to the world of Taurel.
I enlightened the angels and dwellings
that were in the world of Taurel.
I spoke in my enlightenment,
and my radiance rose over Joshamin.
The angels shone, the great ones rejoiced,
all lights were set up.
Joshamin rejoiced in his radiance
and enlightened all the angels.
He enlightened the wicked Abathur,
who made, but accomplished nothing perfectly.
Nothing shone and prospered under his hand,
because he did not give his right hand to his Lord.
At the call, the enlightenment and the praise of the angels
my radiance rose over the veil of Ptahil.
Over the veil of Ptahil my radiance rose,
and the heart of Ptahil was filled with weeping.
His heart was filled with weeping,
and a tear gathered in his eye.
He said:
"Has the beloved servant of the mighty, first God come,
who enlightened all the angels in so high a measure?
What is my day among the days?
The day on which all the angels stood with their praise.
The angels stood with their praise,
and the dwellings rejoiced and flourished beyond measure."
Then the angels who sat with him said to him:
"My day among all days is
[the day on which] the radiance of Abel-Ziwa rose.
The radiance of Abel-Ziwa rose
and enlightened us in our dwellings.
He will bless us in his goodness,
and we shall ascend to the place of light.
We shall ascend to the light;
our sin and guilt will be forgiven us.
Thy name is established in the House of the great God,
and thy Lord will not condemn us in the darkness."
When Ptahil heard this,
he rose from his throne and bowed before me in deep bowing.
He said:
"If it pleases my Lord, may He soon destroy the house.
