Plain text of Right Ginza, Third Book: The Book of the Living, First Teaching (19)
and he sat in leprosy in his place.
I broke the instrument of Nbu
and broke in his hand ........
I adjured the ......,
that his image should not be seen in the world.
I seized the evil one,
I cast him down and hurled him from his throne.
I broke his back
and made him an object of contempt in the world.
I broke him, stretched him out
and set him in concealment.
I cast the evil one down,
that there might be no wrath in the world.
Bel I struck with the whip
and took the crown from his head.
The crown I took from his head
and brought an infirmity into his body.
Nerig I struck with the club
and broke his limbs to pieces.
His limbs I broke to pieces
and gave them to his priests.
I gave them to his priests and worshippers,
that they might wander in the wilderness of the world.
That they might wander in the wilderness of the world
and show their follies in the world.
I dealt with the planets,
who exalt themselves over the lineage of life,
I dealt with the planets
so that I cast plunder among them.
Plunder I cast among them
and showed their follies in the world.
What I did to the planets,
shall befall their priests and worshippers,
until they vanish from the world.
When I came to Adam,
I said to him: "I granted you a spectacle upon your pursuers.
Upon your pursuers I granted you a spectacle,
upon the evil kin, that they were slain.
Let not forgiveness be granted to all the planets,
nor to the men who worship them.
For everyone who does their works
is unworthy of the place of light.
When I go to the abode of life,
I shall set the world in excellent order.
I shall raise up the root of life on high
and set its lineage upright in excellent manner.
When the Seven divided the zodiac,
death was decreed upon the world.
Death was decreed upon the world,
yet the souls of the truthful and believing men,
and of the perfect women,
will ascend and behold the place of light.
The souls of the planets, however,
will be fettered in their prison-houses.
They will be fettered in their prison-houses
until their spirit ceases.
Until their spirit ceases
and they die and are extinguished, as if they had never been."
The ways that Ruha made,
the seducer to falsehood,
the ways that Ruha made
will all be cut down by the sword.
The ways that Ruha made
sit fasting every day.
Every day they sit fasting,
every day they sit mourning.
They sit mourning every day,
until their spirit ceases.
When their measure is full,
they will turn their faces toward the place of darkness.
The followers of the devil Sin
are all those from whom all pains and plagues have come forth.
They sit over sorcery and witchcraft,
they pervert hearts,
they bring people in the world to a fall.
Everyone who listens to their speech
falls into perdition.
The way that the devil Kewan made:
its followers fear the days and hours.
They fear the days and the hours
and sit fasting every day.
Every day they sit fasting
and bring forth false prophets.
They became fasters, men and women,
who sit over falsehood.
They sit over falsehood
and bring forth (false) wisdom out of their understanding.
They, and the unmarried and the so-called saints altogether,
will come to an end on the Last Day.
Everyone who listens to their speech
will not behold the place of light.
The way that the devil Bel made:
from it have come all the tyrants and officials
who are set over wrath in the Tibil.
Every day, day after day,
they sit on the throne of rebellion.
They bind, beat, whip, throw down and interrogate
the one who acts to please them but does not do it wholly.
They beat him with leather whips;
for that they shall be whipped with whips of fire.
Those who gag, bind and hang,
will not behold the place of light.
Whoever practises their madness
will fall, never to rise again.
He will fall, never to rise again,
he will come to an end on the Last Day.
The way that the devil Nerig made
was made wholly in falsehood.
Wholly in falsehood it was made,
and they wander in the wilderness of the world.
In the wilderness they wander in the world
and show their madness in the world.
The Hmurthas who proceed from him
are set over wrath in the Tibil.
They commit murder
and shed blood.
He who called them together
walks at the head of the war-host.
At the head of the war-host he walks,
to shed blood in the world.
