Plain text of Book Three · Forty-sixth Piece
The soul weeps in the ages;
its name is dear to the worlds.
The earth is moved by its tears,
the heaven is shaken by its voice.
The lord of the earth is moved,
and the oppressed of the ...... answer him.
The garment of Adam weeps,
which came forth from the sandarac tree.
Fruit, grape and tree came forth
and kept the true secret and silence.
The chosen ones gathered,
and the little birds take possession of the mountains.
The soul speaks to the ages
and lets all worlds hear:
"I am a crown of beryl,
that is set up before the Great Living God.
Who brought me here,
went and laid me in the hand of Satan and the planets?" —
And the Living God is victorious.
