I hear the voice of the soul,

weeping out of the body:

"Who will take me out of my body,

who will remove me from my frame?

It pains and oppresses me

in this world,

the world that is all night,

all full of tricks,

all tied with knots,

all sealed with seals,

with knots without number,

with seals without measure."

"The man who beheld himself

and begot for the bodies, to loose them,

who counted the stars in the sky,

measured the world-sea among the seas,

who beheld the moon in the sky,

became weak before it and supported himself here,

who beheld the great gate

from which he brought forth the worlds,

he will loosen your knots,

that man will break open your seals.

You have sought and found,

again you will seek and find." —

And the Living God is victorious.
