Plain text of Right Ginza, Third Book: The Book of the Living, First Teaching (7)
he lamented and wept over himself.
He lamented and wept over himself
and said:
"Is there anyone who is greater than you,
who holds dominion over all worlds?
If there is anyone who is greater than you,
be forbearing toward me.
Do not condemn me because I have sinned;
be forbearing toward me.
Our Lord! We have sinned and erred,
forgive us our sin and guilt.
Be forbearing toward me,
and we shall all submit ourselves to you."
I, the good, I to the good,
to You, O Living One, who have the power,
...... I said to him:
"Until God so wills
and Abathur is planted here,
until Abathur is created
and the servants of salvation are created.
The wondrous, living fire shall be set up,
and Gabriel, the messenger, shall be created.
He shall be created and charged,
and he shall be sent here.
He shall be created and charged,
and he shall create the world.
He shall come and compact the compact
and create the earth with skilful craft.
He shall create the earth with skilful craft
and stop up the well of turbid water.
From the dust that rises out of Siniawis,
let a conduit be formed for you.
Let it spread over the living fire.
Let it be filled with living, glorious water,
whose fragrance is pleasant and from which delights are drawn.
From the flow of that water
shall your drink be when you thirst.
From the fodder that the consuming fire eats,
some shall fall down upon you.
From what is left over and falls off
shall your food be.
From your demons, devs, Hmurthas and Liliths
shall your food be.
When the firmament is stretched out,
the glow will descend upon you."
Ur groaned aloud
and said to me:
"How long shall I stand alone
and bear the burden of the world?"
When Ur spoke so,
Ruha, his mother, trembled and shook.
Ruha was afraid and trembled
and cried: Ah, ah.
Ruha groaned aloud like a woman in labour
over the giant who was humbled.
She called out to him:
"Who will be like you,
step forward and govern the world?
Who will be the lord over your demons,
the ruler over your Hmurthas,
a mighty one, a giant?
Who will wear your adornment?
Your adornment, who will wear it,
and then the women, the body of the women?"
When the wicked spoke so,
I answered them about everything:
"As the Great One wills,
so it came to be at once.
As the Great One wills,
my Lord, who created me, speaks it to me.
The calls are called out,
the speeches are well thought out.
But what Ruha devises
will be vain calls.
When the Seven come into being,
from whom the defect comes,
the names of those calls
will be written down over them and pronounced.
Then twelve calls come into being,
from which lack and fault come.
According to the plan of the liar
they will be bound in affliction.
Five calls come into being,
which are looked upon with terror.
The worlds behold them and are afraid.
They appear in a vessel of blazing fire.
They walk on wheels of wrath,
they appear in the colour of fire.
They gave me instruction about the first things
and taught me about this and that.
They teach me about all calls,
how they came forth from their place.
A call comes
and teaches about all calls.
A speech comes
and teaches about all speeches.
A beloved servant comes,
who was formed from the realm of splendour.
Formed he was from the realm of splendour,
and his likeness is well kept in its place.
He comes with the enlightenment of life,
with the command that his Lord gives.
He comes in a garment of living fire
and betakes himself to your world.
He shows reverence to the great God,
and lets enlightenment come forth from his mind.
Enlightenment he lets come forth from his mind,
he brings a compacting and casts it upon the water.
A compacting he casts upon the water
and makes a barrier for the worlds.
He brings the living fire
and casts it into the turbid water.
He stills the pits
and dries up the turbid water.
By God's command he prepares a world
and builds a structure like that of the mighty.
He brings splendour from the abode of life
and lights up his dwelling.
A king is appointed for the world
and a soul is cast into his body.
