Peace and salvation be

on the way that Adam built rightly.

Peace and salvation be

on the way that the soul goes:

"Go, soul, victorious

to the dwelling from which you were planted,

to the place of joy,

where the countenance is resplendent.

The countenance is resplendent there,

the form becomes shining and is not darkened."

The soul loosed the chain,

she burst the bonds.

She laid aside the bodily coat,

then she turned, saw it and trembled.

The providers call to her,

the men who provide for the soul.

The providers call to her,

they provide for her and bless her:

"Come in peace, you who gave light,

who lit up the perishable house.

Come in peace, you who spread fragrance,

who made the stinking body fragrant.

Come in peace, you pearl,

who were taken from the treasure of life.

Come in peace, you of noble birth,

who were called a maidservant in the dwelling of the wicked.

Come, stir yourself, put on your garment

and set on your resplendent wreath.

Bind on your girdle,

in which there are no pains and infirmities.

Come, dwell in the abodes

among the angels, your brothers, as they sit." —

God is held high and is victorious,

and victorious is the man who went here.

Sing hymns

and let this soul hear

that her measure is full

and her course is directed to the place of life.
