Plain text of Book Three · Fourth Section
Go in peace, chosen one, pure one,
blameless, without fault.
You chose your place out of the Tibil,
and your lot leapt out of the ages.
Leapt out of the ages is your lot,
you stand above all the world.
You said, chosen one, pure one:
I am a seer, a discerner.
A seer am I, a discerner,
and the worlds assemble for judgement.
For judgement the worlds assemble,
and judgement is passed upon them.
Judgement is passed upon those
who have not done the works of a righteous man.
You alone, chosen one, pure one,
you brightly shining soul,
you will not go to the court,
judgement will not be passed upon you.
Judgement will not be passed upon you,
since you have done the works of a righteous man.
What they (here) bear and endure,
you, chosen one, will not find before you.
Escape the power
of the planets, the rulers of this world.
Take, put on your garment of splendour
and set on your resplendent wreath.
Bow your body, bow down and prostrate yourself
and praise the Mighty One, the Living.
Praise the place of life,
to which your forefathers journey.
You, chosen one, did not come from here,
and not from here is your planting planted.
Your place is the place of life,
your dwelling is the dwelling of light.
A seat of rest is set up for you,
on which there is no heat and rage.
A girdle is kept for you,
on which there is no ...... and fault.
Good one, ascend to the house of life,
go to the dwelling of light.
Among the lamps of light
your lamps shall be drawn up and shine.
At your time and your term ascend
and behold the place of light. —
God is held high and is victorious,
and victorious is the man who went here.
My enlightenment and my praise lead me across.
You who lead through the watch, lead me across,
the cloud of light, and let it ascend
victorious to the place of light.
