Plain text of Book Two · Twenty-sixth Section
A soul am I of the Great Life,
a soul am I of the mighty Life,
a soul am I of the Great Life.
Here among the ages I dwelt.
Here I dwelt among the ages,
and Hibil was a nurturer to me.
A nurturer to me was Hibil,
and he was my pure helper.
The servant of rich splendour,
and his strength was a support to me.
He was a support to me, he made me firm,
and he delivered me from the world.
He delivered me from the hand
and the works of the Seven.
At all times he showed me the way
and made me a path to the place of light.
He lifted me up with him
and did not leave me in the vain dwelling.
He clothed me with a garment of splendour
and brought me out of the world in glory. —
And God is victorious.
