O God, Thou who didst create all things from water,

When Thou didst open the channels of the River,

Thou didst set prosperity upon its banks,

Within the deep Thou hast made Thy wonders,

The deluge was not sent before the River was!

Fire, and wrath, and splendour, and terror

Are Thine to bestow!

Thou judgest the cause of mankind!

O God, Thou art mighty! Thou art supreme! Thou art righteous!
