Plain text of Chapter Xix
Chapter of the Crown of Triumph.
Thy Lord hath prepared for thee this beautiful Crown of Triumph, the living diadem which the angels love, that thou mayest live for ever. God, Lord of the Unseen Realm, maketh thee to triumph over thine adversaries. Thy Lord hath decreed that thou shouldst be an heir, and be heralded as Triumphant, upon the seat of the righteous, through the defeat of thine adversaries. He hath decreed for thee the Two Earths, absolutely and without condition. And so hath God decreed, and the host of angels hath repeated the glorious act of the triumph of the righteous for ever and ever.
God, Lord of the Unseen Realm, the Two Parts of Heaven united, all angels who are in heaven and upon earth join in effecting the triumph of the righteous over their adversaries before the great host in Heliopolis, on the Night, etc.
The herald repeateth the proclamation four times. All the adversaries fall and are overthrown and slaughtered.
N repeateth the proclamation four times, and all his adversaries fall and are overthrown and slaughtered.
The righteous repeat an infinite number of festivals of praise, and all their adversaries fall down, are overthrown and slaughtered. Their abode is transferred to the slaughtering block of the East, their heads are cut away, their necks are crushed, their thighs are lopped off, they are given to the great Annihilator who resideth in the Valley, that they may not ever escape from under the custody of the Earth.
This chapter is said over a crown placed upon the person, and incense is offered for N, the deceased, for his triumph over all his adversaries, whether Dead or Living, that he may be among the followers of the righteous. And by God's grace there shall be given to him drink and food. Thou shalt say it at dawn twice; a great protection is it.
