Plain text of Hymn Ii
N; he saith when he adoreth God, Lord of the Two Horizons, when the sun setteth in the Land of Life.
Adoration to Thee, O God; Adoration to Thee, O Creator, at the coming of Thy sign in its beauty, in its manifestation, in Thy mastery.
Thy sign saileth over the Heaven, it travelleth over earth and in splendour reacheth the zenith; the two divisions of Heaven are in obeisance to Thee, and yield adoration to Thee.
All the angels of the Unseen Realm are in exultation at Thy glory. They whose abodes are hidden adore Thee, and the Great Ones offer worship to Thee, who hast created the soil of earth.
They who are on the Horizon convey Thy sign, and they who are in the Evening Bark transport it, and they say—Adoration at the glory of Thy Majesty! Peace be upon the coming of Thy sign; welcome, Lord of Heaven, King of the Hereafter.
Let me be counted among the faithful.
Come, O God, be Thou adored. Thy will is done daily. Grant me success in the presence of the mighty angels.
Beautiful is Thy sign in the Horizon of the West; O Lord of Law, in the midst of the Horizon.
Very terrible art Thou, rich art Thou in attributes, and great is Thy love to those who dwell in the Unseen Realm.
To be said, when the sun setteth in the Land of Life; with hands bent downward.
