A light shineth on the horizon, a sign of God. The sun riseth pouring out its dew, and the bright one shineth in the sky. The abode of the obelisk is in joy because of them, because they are complete. There are shouts of joy in the sanctuary and loud cheering fills the Hereafter. They fall down before God, for His Majesty gave orders to the company of His servants. His Majesty ordered praise to be given, and behold, my flesh He gave it strength, and all my limbs are renewed, as soon as the order came out of the mouth of God.

When the fourth hour is accomplished, the world is joyous on the last day of Mechir, for the light is complete in the presence of the angels, and the sun riseth as from the beginning.

All the angels are joyous on that day, they who were silent; and behold there is a festival; and they say: Praise be to God, Satan is struck down. Praise be to God who causeth the forms of creation to exist; there is joy in Him, His enemies are conquered; praise be to Him who hath repelled the chiefs of the sons of rebellion.
