Chapter whereby the deceased acquireth might.

Hail to Thee who art in the midst of Thy creation, O God, who makest the sun to rise and to decline: at whose will millions spring forth, as He turneth His face to the unborn generations of men: who overthroweth Satan.

Here are the angels who overthrow the adversaries and destroy them.

They cut off the heads of the fiends in heaven when in the forms of winged fowl, their hinder parts on earth when in the forms of quadrupeds or in the water as fishes.

All fiends, male or female, N destroyeth them by God's leave, whether descending from heaven or coming forth upon the earth, or issuing out of the water or travelling along with the stars.

God destroyeth them.

N is dumb and deaf to them, for the Strong One is God, the Puissant of Stroke, the Almighty.

N is protected by God, as the faithful are, who repelleth the dark ones: who, when they see the glory fixed upon his brow, fall upon their faces.

N is triumphant over his adversaries in heaven and on earth, and in the company of each angel.
