Plain text of Chapter Cxxviii

Invocation of God.

Hail to Thee, O God, the Great One; the King; the Prince in the Hereafter; the Lord of Abydos; the Lord of Forces; the Most Mighty; the Lord of Power; the Lord of the Mansion; Most Powerful; Lord of Administration, and of many festivals.

Let all things exalt their Lord in every place.

Thou art the Strong One. Thou speakest with potent utterances which have in Thee their origin and proceed from Thy will, and which strengthen the heart of the faithful beyond all.

I come to Thee, and I pray Thee, raise me to life upon this day, with the funeral offerings and all good things made in Thy name.

Thou strikest down Thine enemies and deliverest Thy servants from them.

On this fair day, at the beautiful coming forth of the light, Thou liftest up the righteous.

Thou hast come, O Lord, and Thou art with Thy servants.

Thou glorifiest the righteous, Thou invokest them, Thou openest for them the paths.

I come to Thee that Thou mayest set the adversaries beneath Thy servants in every place, and that they may be triumphant in presence of all the angels who are around Thee.

Thine is the sovereignty, and the throne, and the ascent of the heavens.

Thou regulatest the festivals, and Thou regulatest the offerings made in Thy name by those who reside in their dwellings.

Thy greatness is over the angels whom Thou hast made, O great God, and Thou takest precedence over all, and Thou listenest to the voice of Righteousness on this day.

Said over the offerings made in God's name on the Festival of Uaka.
