Plain text of Chapter Cxvi
Chapter whereby one knoweth the Power of Hermopolis.
God, the Originator, dawneth forth in righteousness, and Righteousness is conveyed upon the arm of him who reckoneth it out.
I know it, and I am therefore led in through the priest.
I tell it not to men, I repeat it not to the angels.
I enter as one who knoweth not, and seeth not.
Hail, ye angels who are in Hermopolis. Know ye me as I know my Lord, that the sight may be made firm and permanent. I take delight in reckoning out that which is reckoned.
I know the Powers of Hermopolis, which are great at the beginning of the month and diminished at the fifteenth day; the moon is a sign of God.
They are God the Unseen, God the Guardian, and God the Perfecter.
If this chapter be known, filth is avoided.
