Plain text of Kanda 2 · iii. 1. 6
a He who performs the sacrifice not according to its object falls into loss, he becomes worse. He who performs it in accordance with its object does not fall into loss, he becomes better. He should rub the Agnidh's place with a verse addressed to the Radiant One, the oblation-holder with one addressed to the All-Pervading, the offering-spoons with one addressed to the Radiant One, the Vayu cups with one addressed to Vayu, the Sadas with one addressed to the Mighty. Thus he forms the sacrifice in accordance with its objects, he becomes better.
