Plain text of The Gatha Spenta Mainyu · Yasna 14 (Dedications)

1 I will come to You, O ye bountiful gifts of God, as a praiser and a priest, and an invoker and sacrificer, as a memorising reciter and a chanter, for Your sacrifice and homage, which are to be offered to the Lord, and for our dedication and sanctification; yea, for ours who are the holy prophets destined to benefit the saints.

2 And to Thee, O Lord, would I dedicate the flesh of my very body, and all the blessings of a prospered life.

3 With this offering and this bundle of twigs, I desire to approach, with my praise, God and all His holy angels, and God, Lord of all the ordered times of the ritual at their times, Lord of the morning watch at its time, and of the midday and evening watches at their times.

4 I confess myself a worshipper of the Wise Lord, and of Zarathushtra's order.

5 The leader speaks: As the Lord revered and chosen, the leader speaks forth to me.

The assistant speaks: As the Lord revered and to be chosen, the leader speaks forth to me.

The leader: So let the assistant, from his righteousness, holy and learned, speak forth!
