Plain text of Hymn Xcv
From the three jars the Great and Strong has received the gift blent with meal. With the All-Pervading in knowledge He has accepted the flowing offering, all that He would. That has so heightened Him, the Great, the Vast, to do His mighty work. So may the angels attend upon God, true is the Mighty, who is true.
Sing strength to God that shall set His chariot in the foremost place. Giver of room in closest fight, slayer of foes in shock of war, be Thou our great encourager. Let the weak bowstrings break upon the bows of feeble enemies.
Thou didst destroy the Dragon; Thou sentest the rivers down to earth. Foeless, O God, wast Thou born. Thou tendest well each choicest thing. Therefore we draw us close to Thee. Let the weak bowstrings break upon the bows of feeble enemies.
Whatever rests by thee in borrowed form of brother, lover, or of lord, and would destroy the progeny, even this may God remove from thee.
That which through sleep or darkness has deceived thee and lies down by thee, and will destroy thy progeny, even this may God remove from thee.
From both thy nostrils, from thine eyes, from both thine ears and from thy chin, forth from thy head and brain and tongue, may God drive thy malady away.
From the neck-tendons and the neck, from the breast-bones and from the spine, from shoulders, upper, lower arms, may God drive thy malady away.
From viscera and all within, from the rectum, from the heart, from kidneys, liver, and from spleen, may God drive thy malady away.
From thighs, from knee-caps, and from heels, and from the forepart of the feet, from hips, from stomach, and from groin, may God drive thy malady away.
From what is voided from within, and from thy hair, and from thy nails, from all thyself, from top to toe, may God drive thy malady away.
From every member, every hair, disease that comes in every joint, from all thyself, from top to toe, may God drive thy malady away.
Away, thou evil of the mind! Depart and vanish far away. Look on destruction far from us. The minds of living men are manifold.
