Plain text of Book 20, Hymn 71
Mighty is God, yea, supreme; greatness be His, the Thunderer! Wide as the heaven extends His power;
Which aideth those to win them sons who come as heroes to the fight, or singers loving holy thoughts.
Be gracious, O God, at all our offerings, Protector, mighty in Thy strength.
To God make the offering, the active gladdening gift to Him, the gladdening Creator.
O Lord of all men, be pleased with the gladdening lauds, present at these offerings.
Songs have outpoured themselves to Thee, O God, the strong, the guardian Lord, and raised themselves unsatisfied.
Send to us bounty manifold, O God, worthy of our wish, for power supreme is only Thine.
O God, stimulate us thereto, emulously fain for wealth, and glorious, O most splendid One.
Give, O God, wide and lofty fame, wealthy in cattle and in strength, lasting our life-time, failing not.
Grant us high fame, O God, grant riches bestowing thousands, those fair fruits of earth borne home in wains.
Praising with songs the praise-worthy who cometh to our aid, we call on God, the Treasure-Lord of wealth.
To lofty God the pious man at each offering sings forth aloud a strengthening hymn.
