Plain text of Book 20, Hymn 67
The pourer of oblations gains the home of wealth; pouring his gift he conciliates hostilities, yea, even the wrath of heaven. Pouring, he strives, unchecked and strong, to win him riches thousandfold. God gives lasting wealth to him who pours forth gifts; yea, wealth He gives that long shall last.
2 Ne'er may those mighty deeds of Thine for us grow old, never may Thy bright glories fall into decay, never before our time decay. What deed of Thine, new every age, wondrous, surpassing man, rings forth, whatever, O God, may be difficult to gain, grant us whate'er is hard to win.
3 I think on God, the Munificent, the Gracious, who knoweth all that live, the holy Sage who knoweth all. Lord of fair rites; when the flame, His sign, hath sprung forth from the holy oil, the offered fatness, it rises with its glow.
4 Ye servants of God, busied in His service, gleaming upon your way with flashes of lightning, our friends, bear witness to the offerings made from the Purifier's bowl, O people of heaven.
5 O wise priest, offer the sacrifice in God's name. At the three altars sit willingly, O priest. Take the proffered sweet offering for thy part; take from the Kindler's bowl thy share.
6 This offering is for the strengthening of the worshipper's manly strength; strength and victory for all time are by God's gift. Pressed for Thy sake, O Bountiful, it is offered in Thy name: accept it from the hand of this priest.
7 Him whom of old I called on, Him I call on now. He is to be invoked: His name is He who Gives. Here is the offering brought by the priests. O Granter of Wealth, accept it in its seasons from the Reciter's cup.
