For God, the lofty All-Knowing, I have brought the fuel hither first. May He who knoweth all bestow faith and intelligence on me.

2 With fuel and with flaming wood we kindle the sacrificial fire in Thy name, O All-Knowing God; so do Thou strengthen us in turn with children and with store of wealth.

3 Whatever logs we lay down in Thy name, propitious be it all to me: accept it, O God.

4 O God, these logs are offered in Thy name: with these let the flame burn bright. Vouchsafe us length of life and give us hope of immortality.
