O God, among mortals Thou art the guard of holy Law, Thou art to be adored in sacred rites.

2 When, ignorant, we violate Thy statutes, O God of knowledge, wise God shall correct our faults and failings.

3 To the path of God have we come, desiring to execute what work we may accomplish. Let God, for He knows, complete the worship. He is the Priest: let Him fix rites and seasons.
