Plain text of Book 19, Hymn 52
Thereafter rose desire in the beginning, desire the primal seed and germ of spirit. O God, Lord of desires, give growth of riches to the sacrificer.
2 Thou, O God, art victorious, famous, potent, splendid, a friend to him who seeks Thy friendship. Mighty and overpowering in battle, give strength and vigour to the sacrificer.
3 The angels heard his prayers, and by God's will gave heavenly light to him who from a distance longed for it, a dealer ready to exchange.
4 O God, with whatever wish we make this offering for Thy sake, may it be all fulfilled to us. Then accept this sacrifice. Praise be to God!
