Plain text of Book 7, Hymn 83
Established amid the waters is, King All-Seeing, Thy golden home. Thence let the Sovereign who maintains the statutes loose all binding cords.
2 Hence free Thou us, King All-Seeing, from each successive bond and tie. As we have cried, O Lord! have said, The waters, they are kine, thence set us free, O Lord.
3 Loosen the bonds, O Lord, that hold us, loosen the bond above, between, and under. So before Thy boundless mercy may we be sinless under Thy favouring auspices!
4 O Lord, free us from all snares that bind us, the bonds above and below. Drive from us evil dream, drive off misfortune: then let us pass into the world of virtue.
