Plain text of Book 7, Hymn 77
O God, the man who, filled with rage against us beyond our thoughts, would harm us, may he be tangled in the toils of mischief: smite him down with Thy most flaming weapon.
2 Each year come, friends to man, the tuneful servants of God, dwelling in spacious mansions, trooped together. Exhilarating, gladdening, may they, by God's leave, deliver us from binding bonds of sin.
