Plain text of Book 7, Hymn 6
The mercy of God fills the sky and air's mid-region; His mercy encompasses the angels and the five nations, what is now and what is future.
2 We call for help the boundless mercy of God, the Upholder of Law and Order, the great mother of all those whose ways are righteous, far-spread, unwasting, strong in dominion, wisely leading, well protecting.
3 Sinless may we ascend, for weal, the vessel, rowed with good oars, divine, that never leaks, with earth our strong guard, incomparable heaven, and God's mercy wisely leading, well protecting.
4 Let us bring hither, in pursuit of riches, God's boundless mercy with our word, the mighty mother, in whose lap the spacious air is lying: may it afford us triply-guarding shelter!
