Plain text of Book 5, Hymn 27
1 Uplifted be this worshipper's fuel: lofty and brilliant be the flames, a sign of the Radiant God!
Splendidly bright, fair-faced, with all his light, the self-sufficient Lord divine.
2 God, the One God, bedews the paths with fatness and with honey.
3 With store of honey to worship comes the Radiant God, the Praised of men, friendly-minded,
The Giver of light, righteous Lord who brings all blessings.
4 Hither He comes with power and fatness also, the luminous, implored with adoration.
5 At holy rites and offerings God loveth the devout: let this man worship God's greatness.
6 He is the furtherer at glad offerings: there stood the angels and the givers of treasure.
7 Ever may the angels protect this worshipper's holy work.
8 Far-reaching, ruling by the Law of God, may dawn and night, signs of God, speeding near us,
Aid this our worship.
9 May the angels praise and extol our lofty worship, so that our service be well conducted!
10 May praise, eloquence and devotion be with us upon this grass.
11 This our nutritious genial flow, O God the Fashioner, and growth of wealth, pour down on this man's kindred.
12 May God, rejoicing, accept our offering, and sweeten our libation.
13 Make offering for the sake of God the Mighty, the All-Knowing, the Radiant. Praise be to God!
May God accept the gifts we offer.
