Plain text of Book 4, Hymn 30
1 I travel with the angels in their ranks, with all the hosts of heaven I wander;
By God's command I hold aloft the attributes of the Friend and the All-Seeing, the Mighty and the Healers.
2 I am the Word of God, the gatherer-up of treasures, most thoughtful.
By His will I have been made to enter many places, in divers spots hath He set mine habitation.
3 I, verily, by God's leave announce and utter the word that angels and men alike shall welcome.
I make the man whom God loves exceeding mighty, make him a sage, a seer, a scholar.
4 By God's provision all eat the food that feeds them, each man who sees, breathes, hears the word out-spoken.
They know it not, but yet they dwell beside me. Hear, one and all, the truth as I declare it.
5 By God's command the arrow strikes and slays the hater of devotion.
By His leave I rouse and order battle for the people, and I have penetrated earth and heaven.
6 By His grace I cherish and sustain the plants of provision, and the craftsmen.
I load with wealth the zealous worshipper who pours out his devotion and offers his gift.
7 On the world's summit I proclaim the Lord: my home is in the waters, in the ocean.
Thence I extend o'er all existing creatures, and reach even yonder heaven.
8 By God's command I breathe a strong breath like the wind and tempest, the while I hold together all existence.
Beyond this wide earth and beyond the heavens I have become so mighty, by His grace, in my grandeur.
