Plain text of Book 4, Hymn 25
1 I think on the wind and the sun, two signs of God, that penetrate and guard the living world:
O God, Thou who art Lord of this All, deliver us from grief and trouble.
2 Thou who hast counted up the earth's expanses, and in the sky smoothed out the air's mid-region,
Whose going-forth hath ne'er been reached by any, deliver us from grief and trouble.
3 Beauteously bright! men rest in Thy dominion when the sun hath risen up and hastened onward.
Thou, O God, preservest all creatures. Deliver us from grief and trouble.
4 Hence, O God, drive evil action, chase affliction away, drive off the devils.
Thou givest us store of energy and power. Deliver us from grief and trouble.
5 Of Thy own grace send us favourable strength and wealth and plenty.
Here give us perfect freedom from consumption. Deliver us from grief and trouble.
6 To assist us, accept the hymn and the delightful offering.
Send down to us Thy stream of blessing. Deliver us from grief and trouble.
7 Like noblest benisons they have stayed in the God-loving man's abode.
I glorify God, who made the bright sun and the wind. Deliver us from grief and trouble.
